The Sony UP-X898MD A6 black and white thermal printer is a compact device that can print medical images in black and white. It is designed to be integrated into a wide range of compatible medical imaging environments, such as digital ultrasound systems, mobile C-arms, and cardiac catheterization laboratory. The printer has a high quality thermal print engine that can produce hard copy prints of still images captured by these systems in a short amount of time. The printer is also equipped with unique Sony technology that allows the paper to be cut in two directions, both up and down, which makes it easier to install and print smoothly. Additionally, the printer can wirelessly print to compatible devices using the optional UPA-WU10* Wireless Print System.

The UP-X898MD is a compact A6 medical grade black and white digital printer that can accept analog video as well as PC-friendly digital USB signal inputs.
Its designed to be integrated into a wide range of compatible medical imaging environments such as digital ultrasound systems, mobile C-arms or cardiac catheterization laboratory. The high quality thermal print engine can produce hard copy prints of still images captured by these systems for use in patient records and referrals. For even greater convenience, printed still images can also be stored to a connected USB flash drive.

The UP-X898MD is a successor to the popular Sony UP-897 series of medical printers. Unique Sony technology allows the paper to be cut in two directionsboth up and downas a lower cutter is newly included, along with the conventional upper cutter. This enables flexible printer installation in almost any location as well as smooth printing operations.

By using the optional UPA-WU10* Wireless Print System, you can achieve the cable-free connection between a Sony digital printer with a 5-V USB output port**, mobile C-arm, and other hospital imaging modalities.
